From time-to-time, my pal Johnny Panic and the Bible of Dreams - aka: Jimmy Andrex - comes to London and I don a mask and do a dance for one of his songs. Last night, at Camden's Dublin Castle, it was one of those occasions. This time, it was the Dacre Dance. Here's the picture for proof:
One fun thing, the kind that you do live shows for, was that the drummer for another band that night was previously a publisher that had published Sylvia Plath and recognised where Jimmy got his alias from.
Jimmy deals with spoken-word with electronic hiphop beats, often with political observation, satire, lamentations for the contemporary British climate (denial). He's funny too. Take a listen:
